This week we are featuring Altissimo! A large 4” to 5” flower with just 5 – 7 petals, Altissimo makes a statement with its gorgeous unforgettable red coloring. Although introduced in France, Altissimo is Italian for “the highest”! Aptly named for a climbing rose! Reminiscent of a poppy flower or hibiscus, this beautiful climber makes a statement where planted! Blooms last long with medium green foliage. Vigorous grower! Great for fences, pergolas, espaliers! Very healthy. Trim as blooms finish to encourage more flowering!
